Happy
Birthday, America! How grateful I am to live in this wonderful country where I enjoy so many freedoms and have such great opportunities for me and my children. I'm also grateful for the amazing men and women who sacrifice to keep our freedoms safe. We are a blessed nation and I'm proud to be an American!
I slept really well last night and it felt so good! Lincoln
was busy working on cars during the day. I puttered around the house and then
Lincoln, Ashley and I met Andrea & Tyler at the movies to watch the latest
Disney movie, Brave. It was fun hanging out together. After the show, we drove
to Provo for a tour of the kids’ new apartment. I was so impressed with the
wonderful job they did of decorating their one bedroom apartment. It was
beautiful! They were so excited to show us everything they got for the wedding and
how they used it to decorate their new home. Tyler had made several trips to
Home Depot to buy things to hang shelves, pictures, and wall decorations. It
looked great! Andrea made the comment, “Who knew he was so handy!” It’s
wonderful to see the two of them learning to discover new things about each
other and loving the process.
Later back at our place, we made watermelon smoothies and had dinner together. Then we played games and went outside to watch fireworks going off in the neighborhood. I’m
grateful I was able to enjoy this evening together with our family.
Happy Birthday, America!
